Lia defines herself as a 'graphikprogrammer'. Some define her as a digital artist and she's also frequently called a designer. All of these are true, as they define what she does or in her word, how she does it.
Born in Graz, Lia studied trough music highschool and later moved to Vienna to study fashion design. Since 1995 she started using the computer as her main artistic tool, developing a very close relation to her tool and to the media she works with. Since 1997 she co-founded the online project Turux and in 1999 she premiered her personal Re:Move project. Since 2000 she has been regularly performing live generated visuals with the music project @c+lia and developing design projects in cooperation with revdesign.pt. In 2003 she is a founding member of the Crónica media label that aims to release new music and art.
